ASSHU Rwenzori Region Holds 2026 AGM
The Association of Secondary School Headteachers of Uganda (ASSHU), Rwenzori Region, held its 2026 Annual General Meeting and professional workshop from 2nd–3rd July 2026 in Bunyangabu District.
The two-day engagement brought together school leaders to reflect on the progress, challenges and opportunities shaping secondary education in the region. Discussions focused on strengthening educational leadership, promoting sustainable school management and embracing meaningful ICT integration to support the implementation of Uganda’s Competency-Based Curriculum.
The AGM also provided a platform for headteachers to share experiences, strengthen professional networks and identify practical approaches to improving teaching, learning and school outcomes.
The gathering underscored the importance of continuous professional development, accountability, innovation and collaboration in building stronger schools.
Through such regional engagements, ASSHU continues to empower school leaders to respond effectively to the changing education landscape and contribute to sustainable, quality education in Uganda.
